CAFFE' FLORIAN
In a prestigious position, under the porticoes of the New Procuratie in Piazza San Marc, Caffè Florian is the most antique Italian cafe and represents a symbol of the city.

Opened on December 29, 1720 by Floriano Francesconi under the name "Alla Venezia Trionfante", Florian was quickly re-named after his owner, becoming the most famous "cafe", frequented by illustrious characters such as Casanova, Goldoni, Canaletto and Guardi.

In about three centuries of history, Café Florian has been the heart of Venetian society since the fall of the Serenissima to the revolutionary motions in 1848.

Those who come to Florian do not just drink coffee, but dive into a unique and unforgettable experience. Glancing around you can simply breath its history, observing the Square from its glass windows you can see a world go by, while being pampered by an impeccable service still rigorously on silver trays and listening to live music in a Caffè-Concerto style.
