GRAN CAFFE' QUADRI ALAJMO
A classy break in one of the most appealing scenarios in the world.
A cafe that has remained faithful to itself over the centuries and has always attracted prominent personalities (from Stendhal to Woody Allen, passing from Wagner and Proust).

Its history
The cafe opened in 1638 with the name "Il Rimedio", due to the malvasia wine sold inside which was considered as "a reinvigoration for the limbs and awakening for the spirit".
On May 28, 1775, Giorgio Quadri landed in Venice after leaving Corfu with his wife Naxina, who had the idea of investing family assets in a venue that sold "black boiling water".
With the entry of the Alajmo family in 2011, Grancaffè re-acquired its original beauty and improved its proposal. It is now a modern cafe, alive and updated with a high standard quality, the goodness and wholesomeness of its proposals. Grancaffè is one of the greatest Venetian lounges, an important place to feel within the most beautiful city in the world.

From April to late October the atmosphere is enlivened by the notes of the Italian orchestra 121 St. Mark's Band.
